INTRODUCTION
M.Sc.(Computer Science) is a non-aided course of Nowrosjee Wadia College (Autonomous) affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. It is 2-year full time, 4-Semester post-graduate course, formerly known as M.C.S. (Master of Computer Science). Nowrosjee Wadia College is accredited with A+ grade by NAAC and is also recipient of the coveted ‘Best College Award’ by SPPU. Nowrosjee Wadia College was the first College, under SPPU to start this post-graduate course. Alumni of the Department are highly placed in the IT industry in India and abroad. The Department has state of the art facilities, and excellent academic and placement track record of students. From the current academic year (2023–2024), the syllabus for M.Sc.(Computer Science) structure and syllabus is designed as per NEP. It is designed taking into consideration the current IT industry trends, at the same time consolidating core concepts and incorporating advanced concepts in Computer Science.
Online Entrance Examination 2023
- Online Entrance Application Form Filling Date is 29 June 2023 .
- Last Date of Online Entrance Application Form Filling is 16 July 2023.

- Entrance Examination Registration fee / Application Form Fee For Open Category: ₹ 500, For SC/ST Category: ₹ 400 For any.
- Candidates can make payment online entrance exam fees using Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card.
- Note: Provide correct mobile number and Email Id in the form.
- Incomplete forms or forms without relevant documents will be rejected.
Eligibility Criteria
Students who have passed or appearing for the final year B.Sc.(Computer Science) or equivalent examination, are eligible for admission to M.Sc.(Computer Science).
Important Instructions to the Candidates:
▪ Entrance Examination will be conducted in an Online manner.
▪ Online supervision in the form of a Remote Proctoring mechanism will be followed to conduct the Entrance Examination.
▪ Candidates can appear for the Entrance Examinations from any location.
▪ Candidates may appear for the Entrance Examination through Smart Mobile Phones (Android/IOS), Laptops/ Desktops with internet connectivity facility. Video Camera to be kept open during the examination is mandatory.
▪ Candidates should provide a valid photo identity such as College Identity Card/Aadhar Card/ PAN Card at the time of registration and the same should be made available during the Entrance Examination.
▪ Candidates should register by using a valid Mobile Number and Email Id, the same will be continued for further communication.
▪ Candidates should upload the latest passport-size photograph during registration.
Admission Procedure
- Students desirous to take admission to the M.Sc. (Computer Science) course must appear for an online, proctored, entrance examination. However, appearing for the entrance examination does not guarantee admission.
- The admission for this course will be strictly on the basis of the merit of marks obtained in the Entrance examination and as per reservation norms of the Government of Maharashtra and Savitribai Phule Pune University.
- Admission of students who secure same marks in the Entrance examination will be decided on the basis of their CGPA in the qualifying examination.
- The entrance exam result along with detailed Admission process will be notified tentatively by 22nd July 2023 on the college website http://nowrosjeewadia.mespune.org
Syllabus for the Entrance Examination
The mode of Entrance examination will be Proctored Online examination and duration will be 90 minutes.
The entrance examination will consist of 100 questions, of MCQ type, (1 mark each) and will be based on the syllabus of B.Sc.(Computer Science) of Savitribai Phule Pune University. The breakup for 100 marks will be as follows :
- Computer Science subjects : 80 questions
- Mathematics / Statistics : 10 questions
- Electronics : 5 questions
- Aptitude :5 questions.
Schedule of Entrance Examination
The online entrance examination will be held on Wednesday, 19th July from 11.00 am to 5pm. Note that the Exam Paper Submission time is till 5pm.
